CPR & First Aid Classes

Lake Chelan Community Hospital (LCCH) offers educational classes that we tailor to your individual or group needs. We are an American Heart Association training site. For more information about a class or to sign up for a group/business rate, please call 509-393-8681 or email cpr@lcch.net.

Online Classes

All First Aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator), as well as HCP classes are offered online. This allows students to complete the classroom didactic portion of the class online, at home, on their own time. Then, with a short one-hour practice and testing time with an LCCH instructor, your class is complete. Call 509-393-8681 or email cpr@lcch.net for more information.

Traditional Classes

Classes are also offered in the traditional classroom setting. This method teaches using the “practice while watching” method of learning. The class is DVD based and facilitated by an instructor. The class includes lots of practice time and skill testing at completion.

Combined First Aid & CPR: This class combines First Aid and CPR to teach you the skills you may need to help a person in need. Class covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies. It also covers adult, child and infant CPR, adult, child and infant use of a mask, choking, introduction to AED’s and phoning for help. Learn the first two steps in a chain of survival before an AED and advanced life support arrive. This class takes about 6 hours to complete. It is offered by both traditional classroom and online methods. This class is offered monthly at the Chelan Fire Station.   CLICK HERE to see upcoming class dates.

First Aid: Class covers first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies. This class takes about 3-1/2 hours to complete.

CPR: Class covers adult, child and infant CPR, adult, child and infant use of a mask, choking, introduction to AED’s and phoning for help. Learn the first two steps in a chain of survival before an AED and advanced life support arrive.

CPR & AED (Automated External Defibrillator): This class covers adult, child and infant CPR, adult child and infant use of a mask, choking, using the AED and phoning for help. This class takes about 6 hours to complete.

First Aid, CPR & AED (Automated External Defibrillator): This class combines the First Aid class with the CPR and AED class. It teaches you eveything you need to help a patient by being able to perform the first three steps in the chain of survival before advanced life support arrives. This class takes about 8 hours to complete.

CPR Anytime: This is a great training kids that allows anyone to learn CPR in the comfort of their own home in about 22 minutes. The kit includes everything needed: a blow-up manikin, instructional DVD and a study guide. This kit teaches students CPR but is not a credentialed class. this class comes in both adult/child and infant kits.

Spanish Classes: All traditional classroom classes are also offered in Spanish to better meet the needs of students. Online classes are not yet in Spanish. Please call (509) 393-8681 to sign up for a Spanish class, as they are on a case-by-case basis.

Healthcare Provider CPR: This class is intended for healthcare professionals and covers adult and child CPR, adult and child bag-mask technique and rescue breathing, two rescuer CPR for adults and children, AED use, CPR for infants, relief of choking and special considerations. This class is only offered online, with a skills check lasting around an hour to follow.
