Featured Homes
Norm’s Resort
Norm & Ginger Pennington
137 Fairway, Chelan
A pool for the lady of the house inspired the design for this home. The owner designed and built the residence with manageable size and ease of maintenance in mind.  It features an abundance of travertine flooring and granite counter tops in and out.   The desert landscaping allows the owners to enjoy the pool and its environs.  Multiple deck areas, lots of glass and an open floor plan, capture views of the beautiful area from nearly everywhere.  The home also features three en suites, providing lots of room for family and friends.  Note the beautiful stone fireplace and maple cabinets.   And for the toys, a four-car garage and two-car carport offer a display of six or more classic cars restored by the man of the house.

An Extreme Makeover
Lester & Carol Cooper
709 Golf Course Drive, Chelan
The home was built in 1983 and remodeled by the previous owners in 2001 adding a concrete deck, swimming pool and spa.  The Coopers started a major remodel in 2007 that was specifically designed to provide a very contemporary feel and to take advantage of as much natural light as possible.  The ground floor has a large great room with nineteen foot ceilings which required that the roof be reoriented and raised.  All the art work in the home was collected by the homeowners from around the world.  The wall hanging in the powder room is from India.  A five foot wide staircase leads to a second floor master suite and an office.  Over the doorway to the master suite are stained glass windows from Lester’s mother’s home in England.  The basement was remodeled to provide two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an extensive recreation room.  Cherry cabinets are used throughout the home, the doors and windows are oak and the counter tops are natural granite and tile.  The fireplace surround is sandstone which was also used on the front deck.

“Grape” Living above the Lake
Cindy Salazar & Tom Simpson.
421 Karma Kanyon Drive, Chelan
Surrounded by the Karma Vineyards and overlooking Lake Chelan from the south shore, this three bedroom custom home supports casual living and entertaining.  An open floor plan allows scenic lake, mountain or city light views from each room.  Completed in late 2009, it includes a single level main house and a poolside guest casita, both with easy access to a covered patio, pool and hot tub.  Above the three-car garage an unfinished space waits for conversion to a “bunk house” for the owners’ grown sons and their family and friends.  The home includes large beams, granite countertops, a stone covered hearth and fireplace with a reclaimed wood mantel in the living room.  The floors are hardwood, carpet or tile with radiant heating.  The kitchen includes a walk in pantry and teapot collection.  The owners designed the interior of the home along with the landscaping design and installation.

Life is Better at the Lake
Bob & Meg Nelson Family
707 Golf Course Drive, Chelan
This Northwest influenced home provides breathtaking views from the moment you walk through the front door.  The family-inspired floor plan with open beam architecture and an abundant use of wood and stone create warmth and richness throughout.  The great room, kitchen and dining area are the focal point of this home.  The knotty cherry cabinets add warmth to the concrete counter tops and built-in dining table.  A glass walled wine room allows each label to become a backdrop of art.  The main floor master bedroom engulfs the ever present view of the lake and surrounding mountains, while the master bathroom features his and her sinks, a large soaking tub and an oversized double headed shower. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, a cozy media room and a multifunctional den that leads to a private patio across from the 16th green.  There is an outdoor hot tub, swimming pool featuring a two tiered waterfall, and a fire pit.  The outdoor accessible bathroom, music system and built in barbecue complete this outdoor oasis.

Lakeside Lodge
Robert & Beth Bettis
2029 W. Terrace, Chelan

This Lakeside home was originally built in 1989-90 and was completely remodeled in the last two years.  The home has the rustic ambiance of a mountain lodge, with hand-hewn log corbels, railings and mantels.  Huge log columns were used in the three large decks that overlook the lake.  Extensive custom stonework graces the interior, exterior and landscape.  There is a heated driveway with colored concrete and stamped walkways.  The master suite has an ornate antique bed and dresser that once belonged to Beth’s great-great-great grandfather.  The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub, bidet with a heated seat, his and hers vanities and a shower featuring an inlaid rock waterfall.  This home features three fireplaces, a spacious kitchen/pantry with granite countertops, including a water jet inset drain board.  The Kohler Steam Shower presents colored lights and water spray to the beat of music.  There are two in-wall systems including a central vacuum and a Sonos audio system which is thoroughly enjoyed by the family.
