Lake Chelan Community
Hospital FOUNDATION is dedicated to generating and managing donated
funds to ensure health care facilities and services meet the needs of our
community.

Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are possible because of
Edna Bragg of Chelan, who left the major part of her estate to the
hospital Foundation in 1995, specifying the money be earmarked only for
health care education. Funds for each year's awards come from the
dividends, interest, capital gains and stock appreciation of Bragg's
original gift.
Scholarships vary in amount,
depending on criteria such as full or part-time status and the number of
years a student has studied in a health care major field. In addition,
health care professionals may apply for scholarships in continuing education available throughout the year. A scholarship committee made up of
members of the Foundation Board of Directors considers applicants.
Over $700,000 has been distributed for educational purposes since
the Scholarship Fund was established. The Harold and Edna Bragg
Scholarship Fund applications are available by calling the Foundation
