GET FIT! Lake Chelan

GET FIT! LAKE CHELAN is a community partnership between Lake Chelan Community Hospital (LCCH) and founder Ben Higgins, with many additional community partners committed to making a healthier Lake Chelan Valley.

Next weight loss challenge starts February 27, 2013. It runs through May and will include:

• Free fitness and nutrition workshops by hospital providers
• Free fitness activites by community partners
• Free cooking classes by local restaurants and chefs
• NEW: GET FIT! Team Support Meetings
• Local restaurants offering healthy GET FIT! options

Fall 2012 Results
More than 100 people participated in the Fall 2012 challenge. Male winners were Aaron Cunningham, losing 23 pounds, and Gary Miller and Miguel Bustos, with nine pounds each. In the female category, the top winner was Maria Alquist, with 12 pounds lost, and Caryn Hansen-George and Carolyn Hood, ten pounds each. Prizes were provided by Chelan Home Center, Lake Chelan Clinic and Columbia Valley Community Health.
