Childbirth Classes We offer monthly childbirth classes for new mothers and their partners. Classes include relaxing, breathing, medications and newborn baby care. Click here for information about upcoming classes.
Labor & Delivery We combine personal attention only a smallerl hospital can offer with the quality medical care for you and your newborn deserve. Our private birthing rooms have a homelike appearance, while being fully equipped medical units. A trained OB nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide care in prenatal testing, labor and deliver, and OB emergencies. If a Cesarean birth is necessary, our surgical team is prepared to respond.
After delivery, mothers and babies stay together in one room so they can bond in a relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Most families stay for at least 24 hours. A mother/baby nurse is close by to help and answer any questions you may have during your stay.
We can also help coordinate a water birth if you desire; please contact us at least two months before your due date to make plans.
Postpartum Support To support new mothers, we provide a three-day postpartum evaluation by a nurse trained to perform hearing screenings and lactation consultation. We weigh the baby and address any problems or concerns the new parents may have. We also work closely with the Chelan Valley Breastfeeding Coalition to support mothers wishing to breastfeed their babies.
