Job Title: Staff Physician
Salary Range: Competitive Wages
Description: Serves as Staff Physician in the Emergency Department providing care to all patients presenting to the ED as well as guidance and education to the entire ER staff.
- Integrate into the work schedule shared by the current Emergency Department providers.
- Maintains accepted standards of care as it relates to emergency room patients.
- Implement new policies, practices, and techniques to enhance the quality of care of Emergency Department patients.
- Teach new skills and monitor the progress of those learning these new skills as well as update skills already learned.
- Active participant in the monthly Critical Incident Review Committee (CIRC) meetings.
- Work with the ER Trauma Nurse Coordinator to maintain compliance with State protocols in trauma, stroke, MI, etc.
- Avail one’s self for the purpose of answering questions and education of ER staff and community physicians in matters pertaining to emergency medicine.
- Unless Board Certified, in Emergency Medicine, must maintain current certifications in ATLS, ACLS and has competed the PER requirement.
